This week’s challenge is to use doors or windows as your subject or use them to frame your subject. As always, new photos only please. Get out there and shoot!

We're in the middle of the 2nd heat wave within 3 weeks, the longest and hottest summer ever in The Netherlands and especially if it continues for another 1 or 2 weeks. So, not too much magic.

Hand held (braced on car hood), processed as a split tone image.
(unsure why we have a wreath in August, but... there it is...)

In order to disguise the sad appearance of empty retail spaces in shopping centers, windows are covered with all kinds of decorative stickers.
(conversion B&W, combination of positive/negative layer, plugin "ink scetch" and plugin "crossprocessing")

The first one is a shot from my front door toward the back of the house. Doorway to the dining room, doorway to the corridor, window in the corridor, doors to the living room, doors to the cloak room, doors out to the back deck, and finally, the garage door.

The second one is from the dining room into the kitchen, showing the doorway and pass-through, then some cupboard doors and the microwave and oven doors.

Both these shots was my attempt to get a deep field of focus. I think I need to try harder next time.

    Thank you!

Wifey collects dolls and figurines. There are five angels on that sideboard alone.
