photo 2 is really a very nice composition to my eye. The end of the branch intruding into the frame on the left distracts from the image though. Judging by the angle it would be hard to crop out without cutting into the bridge or making the photo feel too "tight".

I watched this bridge being built from the ground UP -- 32 years ago!
