Please help me, I am looking for a sync cable to connect my old Vivatar 285HV flash to my Canon Rebel ET. I want to get the right cable. Where can I buy and is there a specific part number?

    Thanks, Gcrii

THAT cord does look like it would be the right one, provided the camera has a PC outlet on the body, someplace. If it does not, a simple hotshoe-to-PC outlet device, sold by FLashzebra.com, would create a PC outlet in a very handy place--right on top of the hotshoe, where it will not interfere with gripping the camera.

Since the 285HV is a non-dedicated flash, all that is needed would be a "plain vanilla" type cord, such as the one sold there for $7.
