I mean the guy who used my photo is just another local graphic designer and while I've never stolen a photo for design use, I have some sort of sympathy because of our similar positions. And the company he's working for is a local fight promotion with their first event coming up. Should I do something about this? I'm not completely outraged but I am a little irked that the photo was used without my permission. What can I do in this position? Should I take legal action? Is that even worth it? The local fight community is pretty tight knit and I don't really want to create any animosity over this.

Would you feel the same if he had stolen your car, wallet, tv, camera, a lens, your computer, or some other personal property? Why would you be sympathetic about having your intellectual property stolen? At least you got some compensation.
