Well I am new here, I just want to know what you think, be brutally honest. Is it ok? Other than the fact that it is a cliche sunset photo?

This is a good first attempt. There are a few things that I don't really care for. One is the flare from the light. Shooting into the sun I definitely recommend a polarizer. There is very little detail in the forground and IMHO the image is overwhelmed with a bright ball that appears it may be blown toward the center. Different metering may have helped.

I also find myself scanning the foreground for something of interest, that one thing to make it better is missing. Sunsets are tricky to capture and may times it is caused by the metering.

Please don't be discourage by these comments, you did ask for brutality. Please keep up the hard work and we all will look forward to seeing more.
