First, a disclaimer. The only portraits I've ever shot are pet portraits. Never just solo people.
A friend of mine is 7 months pregnant and asked if I would do some maternity shots for her, knowing I've never shot people and could use the exposure/practice.
My current kit for animal portraits include:
-70-300 and 55-200 lenses (I try to shoot pets at 70-85mm)
-SB-600 flash
-Various bounces/reflectors
Based on my limited experience, I thinking:
-Stay at ISO 100-200 when possible
-Avoid direct sunlight
-Stay at 70-85mm (right?)
-Pay attention to shadows and use bounce/reflector/diffuser as needed
Any other tips on shooting outdoors for a maternity shoot? I've been reading up, but curious if there's any advice people have that I may have missed.
My main concern is the lighting, as it's happening the 30th so probably overcast.
