Well I use my right eye so the rest of my face doesn't get in the way of the controls. But when taking a picture I have to squint quite a lot and it can get frustrating, but I deal with it.

Though if I were to use my left eye, I'd only be looking at the cameras casing with my right and not have to squint as much. But my face would get in the way of the controls.

So, what is your personal preference?

I prefear to use my left eye. I have to squint much more when using my right eye which is extremely uncomfortable.

Left eye. I always thought I was weird and the only one until I did a poll here and there were lots of us! :)

Squinting through a 35mm viewfinder, I can understand the need to use one or the other eyeball.

Large format photography is great that way - you get to use both. Or all three eyeballs if you're blessed.

Falcon eye....sorry had to....

left for me

right, here, I guess I've always favoured that eye but quite why i'm not sure. I'm gogin to go off and experiment with using my left now.

I always use my right eye. I've tried my left but it didn't feel right. The camera didn't fit into my face as well.

Also, have you noticed that lots of cameras are designed to be used with your right eye? The eye-piece is on the left side of the camera so if you use your right eye you can get closer. If you use your left your nose gets in the way.

...but yet it seems better for your eyes if you use your left. Damn badly designed cameras......

You'll favor your dominant eye. Same eye you would use when aiming a gun. You're brain has to stop and think about what it needs to do otherwise...........

I use my right and normally close my left unless I am tracking something or waiting for an action shot at the right timing. Kinda difficult to explain I guess really :?
