What is my next step?

I stitched together two pictures of the underside of a bridge. Obviously, there going to be a lot of white on the sides of the image. I have fixed it for the sky but I don't know how to properly fix the grass at the bottom or the rest of the bridge up top. Whenever I use the patch tool, it's like it's at half opacity so there's still white left. I just don't know what to do. Here is the image, you'll see what I mean:

It can all be done with the clone stamp, but it's fairly tricky cloning.
