What is Photography?

For me, photography is forever capturing a slice of time. Whether artistically driven or just by luck. Which puts me at odds with much of what passes for photography today. The mastering of post processing software has led to creative expression, that while beautiful and many times captivating, isn't a photograph that ever existed in any single slice of time. With some, it's not a photograph that ever existed on any level of reality. Only in the creator's mind. Call it art? Call it creative expression? Yes, no? Is it a photograph? Not in my opinion. it's crossed a line to something else. Does that make it a bad thing? Again, no.
