UWO intramural hockey late on a Tuesday night.
Those are awesome, where you actually on the ice for those or a really good lens
I just had a 17-85 on it, which turns out to be a pretty good range for hockey...a 28-120 might be a bit better, but I was quite pleased with how tonight went
Well done, some of those angles I would have sworn you where right in the mix of things. Suicidle but would prove to make some great shots. that check in number 10 it totally illeagle lol
The senor in the 40D has fabulous low noise with high iso settings
Yeah, no kidding....I wasn't going to go below 1/250, so 3200 was pretty much a neccessity. Ran it through noise reduction in Lightroom but nothing in Photoshop; I'm frankly amazed.
And you should be!
This is sports photography as it should be!
Coolest frozen action pics with the puck to be seen in almost all of them, either frozen, or (this is my personal favourite!) in motion with the player so well to be seen! (9).
Photo 4 is frightfully dramatic ... and I still haven't finished analysing what is what of the goalie there, and which parts are in the air and which parts are screetching across the ice  !?!?!?
hehe thanks, LaF
