What kind of small birds are these?

Does anyone know what kind of birds these are? I've asked a few "bird sites" and facebook and I've not had much luck. Would be nice to put a name to these on my Flickr and for future findings. These are found in Scotland.

Bird #2 could be a female linnet. Don't know about #1.

I think you could be onto a winner for No.2, looked it up too via the bird finder you posted. I did think it had a finch like beak so not surprised it belongs to that family.

No.1 is either a pipit or a skylark.

Got it, thats why I thought its a house finch, looks just like the ones that show up in my yard at the feeder.

Looks to me like 1 could be a juvinile stone chat.

Though I am not sure. I Think we have them in Greece too. I Think their sparrows. But I could be wrong.
