What's new

What photography related item did you acquire?

Sure, just found it on Amazon when looking for the Platypod. Had decent reviews. The strap to secure it to verticals is really handy.

showing OOS righ tnow, but it was $40.

I bought this ball-head with it:

haven't seen anything smaller like the Ultra -- probably more than you need for that Fujifilm.

Thank you, I'll keep looking. Know it's overkill for the Fujifilm. Should work great in the BWCA this summer. Compact and light. Just what I'm looking for.

Your link to the ball head is the same. Not a problem. I have one that should work.

just picked up a 4th spare battery for my EM10 III. I'm a super overkill person like that.
oh yah, just got my EM10 III last week.

I did a small side project for my sister and told her to pay me with these.

I got this awesome foam board at the Dollar Tree a couple weeks ago. It gets beat up in the back seat of my truck so it looks like crap, but it works as if I bought it yesterday.

Bought several of these from Dollar Tree a couple weeks ago. Had the same idea in mind. Might glue some tin foil to one as a super reflector. Good idea? Who knows until I try.

Have them in other colors as well. And colored construction paper. Glue that to one side and you have double sided backgrounds for flowers and such. For less than 20.00 I have all sorts of possibilities. Love that store.

Sure hope the Peak Design strap is worth it. I splurged. Ordered the Slide, two Captures and a Pro Pad. While perusing their site, I was offered a discount at checkout. 10% off. Took advantage of it. All of their items are shipped for free. In the end, it was less than secondary sellers. Still spent more than I should have. Been looking for a system that works together. Just have to make it play nice with my tripod. Minor issue. Lol.

When my oldest nephew took up photography, I bought him a Chinese knockoff of my RS4. Didn't think he'd stick with it. Wrong. Both are still going strong. Last Christmas I gifted the younger nephew a Sony A200. He'll get my RS4.

A few months back, I found a Lowepro 200 aw for 8.99 at a thrift store. Love this thing. Both nephews are bugging me to find them one. Easier said than done. Found a seller on Ebay blowing these out for 14.29. Plus, I had 4.80 in Ebay bucks. We'll find out how good or bad they are.

I used these as scrims when I was doing portraits and weddings.

You can get some single-color wrapping paper or foil, and glue or tape them to the foam core. I would use both sides. There were times when I needed silver, gold, red, etc. to enhance a background or add a slight tint to the subject.

It wasn't on my "to do" list this morning, but I had some older 35mm M/F cameras with me, and ended up doing some horse trading, along with a bit of cash, and ended up with a 1973 Hasselblad 500 C/M, and a 80mm Zeiss Planar. Beautiful piece of equipment.
