What to do in this situation ...

I went to Bermuda a day before it was getting hit with a hurricane and the water was really rough and beautiful. I am taking photos and notice my photos were becoming soft. I looked at my lens and it had been coated with the sea spray.

Luckily I had the UV filter on it and just took it off for other photos once I realized what was going on. How else can the situation be handled? BTW, the UV filter was really filthy and took a few cleanings to get it clean.

Here's a sample of what happened; I'm 98% sure it was from the lens being dirty and not my focusing:

Focus is off a little, but personally I love the shot.

i like the picture. i would have pulled out a bigger lens and stood further back. but yea...that water is beautiful!
