What would my XT Sell for?

I am looking at upgrading to a 30D to get the 3200 ISO that it has (yes, grainy, but grainy is better than blurry at night-time dirt race car tracks)

What do you think I could get out of my Rebel XT and the kit 18-55 lens? Maybe I could include a card in it too. Any ideas?

Honestly I don't think you should sell it. You never know when a second body could come in hand or be absolutely needed. God for bid something were to happen to the 30D or if one day you want to be able to have 2 different lenses on at the same time.

I see them on craigs list going for around $400. I don't think it would be worth it for such a small amount of money compared to what you spend on photography. The kit lens, while not the best, can also come in handy.

No matter what you do I would keep the card, you are just going to have to buy new ones for a higher price then you sold it for.

I would say you would be able to get $400, maybe $500 out of it. I got my XT about 6 months ago as a refurb. for $600.

I second the keep the body suggestion. I sometimes take along my film rebel when I go out shooting with a different lens and its really nice to switch back and forth between the 2.
