I have had several people wanting to buy my old camera and gear but i am horrbile with placing a value on things. so i was wondering how much do you think my old kit is worth.

Check E-bay, that should give you an idea of what the 'going rate' is.

Probably somewhere in the neighborhood of $500? That's a decent flash, but the body would go around $300. The kit lens wouldn't bring much even though the pentax kit lens is pretty decent. The 50mm, I assume is the manual focus Asahi lens? That is actually a pretty nice MF lens, I have one myself, but doesn't bring much, less than $20 on ebay. The Sigma is probably around $100 on ebay? I'd be happy with $500 probably. It's worth more than that, but that is about what the market would bare. I have a DS that became my back up when I got the k10d but I knew I couldn't re-coop what it was worth.

$4-500 sounds fair. That's a fairly old body.
