Interesting bird. We don't have them here, but I wouldn't be surprised if they have them down on the Texas coast.

I know you arent seeing them there but keep an eye open. Accordind to Cornell theyre all over the US year round, including Texas. Maybe you'll get lucky some day and see one, or two most likely. You usually see them in pairs.

Nice set. We are seeing an increase in population here in Pennsylvania, but they're still scattered. Saw one about 3 years ago, and it was the first sighting around here in 20 years.
