*I apologize in advance if I have posted in the wrong section. I am completely new to this forum thing, not just this one specifically, in general. I may have trouble navigating the sections and figuring out the correct place to post my topics. If I am in the wrong section, please redirect me to the correct section :blushing:

Nowadays there are so many ways to present a portfolio, I have no idea where to start when it comes to something I can share with potential clients.
Options like the most obvious...blogs ie. wordpress & blogspot
Facebook
Tumblr
Flickr
etc.

Also digital portfolios on disks, memory cards, memory sticks
actual physical prints in an actual portfolio binder...

Let me know what you suggest as a good option to share with clients.

Almost all the pros who have contributed their thoughts on this say ... posting to a website and waiting for clients to flood you with orders is just about the least profitable way.
Their consistent consensus is present their portfolio in person (laptop, ipad, TV). Then as you go through the photos, educate them about what is good and why, compare a colour and B&W edit, talk about different cropping options ... and upsell to more photos, larger photos, bigger packages, more products.

Facebook
Tumblr

Nope. If I was looking to hire someone to take some pictures and they directed me to one of lose places I would walk away. If they directed me to Instagram I would run away.

Build your own website and use your own domain name. With services like squarespace they are easy to build great looking websites and they are vary affordable.
