ok... the old prices of these cards are making me nauseous. I remember paying $40 bucks for a 64mb card... back with one of my first Digi-cams. now i can get a 4G for a fraction of that cost. How silly. I was still using film cameras before that.. so memory cards didnt phase me. haha. Although, i do have a big ol' sony digital camera.. that takes FLOPPY DISC's... :lmao: I totally forgot about it until recently.. went to hit to eject button, and out pops this big ol ugly floppy disc.... Ahhhahaha... ah hell no! :meh:

My first hard drive was whopping 20mb... full height drive too. Those Sony digitals were actually pretty good for their time. I had one for a while then sold it for a 1.3mp U10... remember those small things? Most of the body was the battery compartment for two AAA's

Because I do video as well as photo I get class 10 cards. That makes things a tad more expensive..

I once spent about $120 for a 128 mb card. Of course, that has been a while ago....

Memory has not always been cheap, not only cards but hard drives and ram.

i remember paying 350 $ for a 40 gig hard drive and 250 for a 128mb of ram.

right now 2tb hard drives are 70$

Wow! $200+ for a 2GB. Thats insane, IMO. If that was the going price, though, I can see the need for something like that. Wow. Id love to hear more!

Compared to buying 4000 rolls of film, it was dirt cheap.

Hahahahahahaha.

Go back in time 20 years, and ask some working photographers what they would pay to be able to get 400 photos without having to change rolls, and for the ability to reuse film again and again without having to keep buying more. I bet you would have gotten some pretty large numbers...

Looked at old receipt for a 500 meg Sandisk CF, Ultra, back then 10 yrs. ago, a whopping $265.00! Ouch.
