When do you start your Christmas advertising?

I've decided to make a more concerted effort in my marketing, starting with Christmas, but as someone who HATES seeing the Christmas cards in Wal-Mart in September, I don't want to start too early both for that reason, and also because if it's too early, people will simply forget about it. So, [if you do] when do you start your "Christmas push"?

Thanksgiving is always good in Canada. That's what we find anyway. Here we get snow in late October or early November. When the snow comes, people think Christmas. You probably don't get snow, at least snow that stays. Mid October/thanksgiving I think is best.

The second Halloween is over. It's been my experience that nothing happens before then. Nobody is thinking about Christmas in early October.
