when to get a new camera body?

From what I've learned lenses are more important than the camera body so I'm wondering after how long should someone get a new body?

That kind of depends on what kind of body you already own I guess.

When you need one. Seriously, you have to figure out what you want to do that you can't do with the body you have and the question will answer itself.

Like KenC says. Upgrade your camera body when it can't do what you need it to do.
