Which book will help me most?

I'm a beginner and learning photography. Which book will help me the most, Scott Kelby's The Digital Photography Book Volume 1 and 2, OR Understanding Exposure: How to shoot great photographs with a digital or film camera and also Understanding Shutter Speed by Bryan Peterson?

Get Peterson's books. They helped me immensely and many people here will recommend over others as well.

Kelby's books (at least the first one I ahve not read the second) are good for total beginners - they give a direction to follow, but they don't explain much (they don't aim to). Its good for getting a feel when your very new
Undertanding exposure goes further and deals specificaly with getting exposures and is well worth getting. Of the two Bryan's book is the more informative and has more growing space - Kelby's book one can grow out of very quickly
