The Canon EOS Rebel T3 (USA only) is known as the 1100D in the rest of the world, except Japan where it is known as the EOS Kiss X50.

Nikon puts the D in front of the numbers, Canon puts the D behind the numbers. There is no camera that I'm aware of that is known as a D1100.
