Which gear is more important.

Hey.

I just did a horrible shoot for a friend with a crappy old flash i got from my uncle he used with his A-1.

And i needed both.

The tripod - looking at the 055xproB
Flash - canon 430

This was indoor using linnen to use as backround.

Was horible didnt work at all.

So dissapointed

So i was thinking ....

What about a tripod and a circular reflector to remove shadows from my subjects face when doing an outdoor shoot . Like if her face is partly shadowed...

Will this work?

This is realy difficult to decide. I guess i havent taken enough photos to make the right dicition.
