Which Lens....help

Hello. Sunday I am going to the botanical gardens in my area. Lots of flower pictures. I have 2 lenses and can only take one. 55-250mm or the 18-55mm
for my Canon Rebel T4I Which would you suggest I take?

My last trip I was fairly evenly split over/under 55mm, but I would be tempted to go longer, at least at the US Bot. Gardens. I like to get real close, and I can't always physically get that close. If it's outside, and the overall scene is what I want, then I'll go a bit wider.
