Which lens???

i am wanting to take photos of the sport of lamping.

it involves a lurcher chasing a rabbit at night with the aid of a high power lamp.

what will be the best lamp and accesories to capture this.

i have a canon D400

I'm sure that other folks can help you more, but for starters, a very fast lens. Since it's at night, you're in a low-light situation, and if you're trying to capture a still of fast motion, you need a fast shutter speed. So low light and fast shutter speed = need fast lens.
