Hi all! I'd like to venture into film photography and I'm not sure what body to get. Six months ago I purchased a Nikon D300, this is my first DSLR and I feel like I'm catching on very fast. However now that I'm getting more into photography I'm starting to like film better. Can you give me a recommendation of what body to get? I'm thinking I should stick with Nikon so I can use the same lenses with my D300 since I dont plan on getting rid of it (at least for now)!

Thank you in advance.

FE, FE2, FM, FM2n, F3, F4, F100 are all good choices and not too expensive. There are others, that would be my list.

I bought a FM in 1980 and have used it ever since. I highly recommend it.

The choice is easy: the F100. It's basically a film version of your D300, same build quality, same control layout, same lens compatibility (except for DX lenses vignetting, as the F100 is "full frame").

A clean F100 sells for around $175 on ebay, not bad for a camera that cost nearly $1500 when new.
