Which telephoto lens???

Actually, for just a little more money, you could get a used tamron or sigma 70-200 f/2.8 in the older non VR versions.

Other than that, i would recommend a nikon 70-300 VRII. Its a full frame lens, and can be found used in EX condition for $300-$350. I personally think it is nikons best "bang for your buck" lens.
I agree with the 70-300, in my opinion 200mm is not enough for wildlife. The issue is that he has a Canon 60D so I don't think a Nikon lens is going to work ;)

But can it be used on the Canon? :)

Yea, i totally rolled over the part about it being a canon camera.

The tamron and sigma options are fine though, since they are produced for both brands. Im sure canon has the equivalent of the nikkor VRII lens.

Thanks people. I'll be getting the lens so I'll put some pictures on when I get it and take some

I ended up getting the 55-250 is stm lens, it looked good and got good reviews.
