Which would you choose?

I have on oportunity to add a FF body to my bag right now and I'm wondering which one to choose.

My options:

D800E complete gently used - $2300 shiped
D800 complete gently used - $1950 shipped

For you D800/E shooters is it worth the extra money for the D800E? Or should I get the D800 and use the extra cash to get a nice tripod which I could add to my bag?

But I would like to add that as a hobbyist I think I would rather go with the D610 new over this for roughly the same price.
For me the D800 would be an overkill camera.

Yes, I'd go for the D610.

Although if those extra 100s weren't an issue, I'd go with the D800E for if I ever wanted to get into the studio. May as well have it if you have the money, and can afford to use it, I think.

I would take the D800E all day long.. Why wouldn't you take a camera that offers more resolution/sharpness? Moiré (If you ever get any) can be fixed in post super easy.
