I know this doesn't matter when shooting in raw, but I was curious of others are doing this.

I'm reading Peterson's Understanding exposure and he noted that he has w/b set to cloudy 99% of the time.

Are you guys setting your w/b this way if shooting .jpeg?

it will give a warm tone to your photos but the real answer is to use a grey card or other means to set your white balance properly...or just shoot RAW ;)

Never...but I don't like an overly warm tone.
I always use Auto outside...it is almost always right.

If it is a dark cloudy day you will get a somewhat cool tone. If you put it on cloudy it will be quite a bit warmer...as I said, for me to warm.

I'll shoot autoWB if I don't have the time to do a pre-set. But for 99% of my actuations, it's a pre-set WB. And I shoot raw 99.999% of the time as well.
