When shooting in RAW, does the "as shot" white balance have any advantage over manually setting or correcting the white balance in a photo editor? I'm not too sure how to word my question, but I am trying out IR photography and you need a correct WB, I am using a non-converted camera so it wasn't set for me. I am able to get similer results white balance wise in PS to what was outlined in some of the tutorials I have read. But am I losing a lot of information by doing this?

I believe "as shot" refers to the white balance settings that you actually took the picture with.
