Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
I want to start off by saying I'm sorry if I posted this in the wrong forum, but this seemed like the best place.

Ok my friend told me about this "famous" photographer who took this photo. I was kinda shocked when I heard the content and wondered who it was. I'm too curious for my own good. When I tried to find out who it was, I couldn't find anything and with as odd and specific as this photo is you think it'd be easy to track down, so I'm wondering if it's even real.

The photo is a self portrait of a man with a cloth mask tied very tight around his neck and there is blood coming out of the holes of the mask for the eyes and mouth. The blood used for the photo is his wife's menstural blood. Any idea who this is?

'Photographic Discussions' is where I would have put it, so I think you did OK. lol.

I think know the photo you're talking about, but not the photographer (or name of the photo)... If it's what I'm thinking of, I was not aware that it was a self portrait.

I just looked it up and Layne has a very similair photo. She has a self portrait with her face covered with her own menstrual blood and also painted a self portrait using her blood. It's not quite what I described, so maybe the person who told me about the photo had the details mixed up.

Layne Arlina?

Ingrid Berthon-Moine?

I'm angry for having the ability to look this up. I don't know if I'm angry at myself for being curious, or you for listing the name but I'll figure it out lol.

If either of those names are right, I'm thinking of someone else.

The only positive thing that came out of viewing Layne Arlina's self portrait was the comments.

The first comment made my day, and there are a couple comments that had me tearing from laughter.

Holy ****, how do people consider this art?

OP - I too am curious about your search. Were you the one who just asked this question on Yahoo?

They made fine art prints on Photo Rag, only problem, you have to reprint it every 28 days.......

I'll stop

Yeah it's horrendous.

you think if you went to all the trouble to make a painting out of expired snatch blood. You would put some time and effort into painting a human face.

You need to learn your anatomy. Lady. This is simply shock art...its philosophy. Start honing your skills.

This made me cry out in laughter. It's a valid observation though.

Not to derail this thread, just a small side note during your search. An artist who uses obscure and unusual techniques, but I find extremely
talented is Phil Hansen
