WHY did you Chose the brand of Camera you did?

I made the mistake of buying something other than canon once and regretted it. I think I'm just loyal.

Well first off I've always owned Canon P&S's and rally liked them. So when it came to picking out a DSLR I was very familiar with Canon although I knew that Nikon was also very good.
I decided to give them both a chance. I essentially let feel, comfort and navigation decide which camera I would choose. The price point was essentially the same as was the rest, IMO and preferred the feel of the Canon and the menu was quite familiar so I went with a Canon.
