Canon 16-35mm f/2.8-L is nice lens length; their 16-40mm f/4-L is more affordable, been around a loooong time too, plenty of used ones out there. Always make sure a used wide-angle lens is still in good form and has not gotten a de-centered. Also, there's the newer 16-35mm f/4-L and the Tamron 15-30/2.8.

Buuut, I GET that you want a prime, so Sigma 35/1.4 ART series is a good $ 700 prime. Tamron has new 35 and 45 and 85mm f/1.8 primes, and all three have VC (Vibration Control). For landscapes, I like to shoot in the f/5.6-f/11 range. At that zone, many zooms are quite good.

Still...a 16-35mm lens has MULTIPLE, common, older wide-angle lengths, and they are substantially different from one another once you go "two lenses apart". The old wide-angles would be as follows: 16mm, 17mm,18mm,20mm,24mm,28mm,35mm, so there are SEVEN old, classic wide-angle lengths in a 16-35mm zoom lens!

20,24,and 28 are VERY different lenses. So is the 35mm.
