wide angle lens

hey everyone, i'm thinking of buying a wide angle lens but seeing as my budget is seriously limited i'd like to see what my options are? i don't even mind those older lenses which are supposedly cheaper, i'd even buy a FD wide angle lens if i had the adapter... so, any ideas on what to buy?
