I’ve recently decided I need to dedicate more time to shooting since I’ve been…relaxed you could say, in doing so. Life has a way of getting in the way.

Part of doing that was a five day trip to western Pennsylvania to shoot the wild elk. The trip was awesome and definitely brought some inspiration to shoot, and to push me to get more involved in landscape photography coming up.

Before I head down some landscapes with fall coming and to break up the wildlife (or frustration with wildlife as the case may sometimes be. I thought I’d share a few of the shots I was most pleased with from the trip.

I'm looking forward to posting more of my images and being more involved in the forum here so I can increase my own knowledge.

Majestic beasts. Cousins of our native Red Deer I believe and very similar in appearance. No's 1 and 4 are the picks for me.

Benezette is one of my favorite places to visit in Pennsylvania. #1 is by far my favorite of these. As Kirk said, the blue background is so nice in this.

Thanks everyone. I agree, the first one is my favorite. It printed nicely on canvas and I just have to finish stretching it and hang it up.

Ironically that's my absolute favorite from the trip, and it's one of seven shots I took all morning. It was just slow and he was the only elk that we caught out. Luckily he stayed still long enough to capture that shot and was close enough that it needed minimal cropping even.
