Wildlife - sort of.

They are technically wildlife but are part of a show called the Raptor experience that was at our state fair. It was still nice to be able to get close enough to photograph them with a 50mm f/1.8 STM, but I do wish that I would have had a zoom lens with me.

After watching this show and being close to all the birds, I can really see how it could be enjoyable being out in the wild photographing them. (Plus it would give me another reason to get some really big glass)

Very nice! They are fun to shoot, even in captivity. I'm very lucky to have a raptor rescue centre near by, so I can go when ever I like.

Thanks Brian. That would be really nice to have access to. These birds were from a rescue/rehabilitation center in Texas.
