Wind on or stay when storing?

Hi guys,

The wording of the title is poor, but I couldn't think of any way to describe my question in short!

Anyway, when I've finished shooting and want to put my camera away for a few days, am I best to wind on the film so that it's ready to take a shot or am should I take my last photo and then leave it unwinded when i store it away?

New to this film stuff!

If your film camera cocks the shutter when you advance the film, you be best to leave it uncocked - thus without tension on the spring.

Yes, best to leave it unwound if you have that option. Some cameras can lock up if they receive a blow when the shutter is cocked.
