Don't you just love to be surprised with a snow view when you wake up? Well, that's what happened to me this morning. I opened the window and THIS is the first thing I saw. I'll be going out later to make some pictures but for now this is the view from my window.

Lovely view! Fresh white snow, and it's even clinging to the bare tree branches and evergreens.

A nice view for the first snow. Much better then what I woke up to two weeks ago for our first snow. Power's out at 2 a.m. with white out conditions and a 60 mph wind I would have much rather woke up to the scene you photographed. Good luck in getting more photos later.

I live in Alliance Nebraska. Its in the Western Panhandle. Gary Anthes had an article in the Washington Post on his travels to this area in 2007. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2007/08/31/AR2007083100476.html

The weather here can be crazy. Two weeks ago huge snowstrom, beginning of this week 75 degrees and riding around with my windows down.
