Hello people,

I am new to forum .. this is my first photo `thrown to lions' .. please, be merciful to me :D .. I know, it ain't the sharpest one, it ain't the clearest one .. was taken hand held, was modified in RawTherapee but just very little, generally only +highlights and +shadows because I was taking that with max `exposing to the right' method .. the close tree on the right ain't exactly in focus because f7.1, I know ..

thanks for feedback !!!

I can't figure how to add photo from my flickr account, so I upload photos from my computer to my post on this site.

I think it's lovely! I like the muted colors, and the very subtle leading lines that take the eye deeper into the scene. Nicely done.

Welcome to TPF! I hope you continue to post your work. :)

I for one like the dark spaces/heavy contrast, it adds depth and is more artistic, I think. Good job!

Looks identical forestry land around me on a frosty morning.

yes, sir :) .. will do my best

I am not yet very good with postprocessing, morover I've decided to use a less usual option (RawTherapee - I'm just opensource enthusiast .. yep, I have also LR but I decided to not violate my software religion ..) but I am trying and I feel that I'm improving every day

hello adding two *unedited* photos from this same photography session ;) as a bonus

this looks relatively cool just straight away exported from raw

The first is a nice image. I like it. Leads well. Real nice portrait style.
The other two, I get the feeling of tumbling down the side of a hill with that fallen tree to crash into while euphorically contemplating slamming into the rocks, lake, or someones house , below.

I wanted to share other images from same session ... there's nothing deeper in that .. I didn't consider those two images being specifically outstanding, also I've picked these other two images because they are totally different scenery and composition that the one that I've chosen for to be a flagship from my last photo session ..

thanks for feedback ... I consider those added two images rather as a Scouting material ... specifically first one (from two) just lures me back at this location to find some nice composition based on that scenery ..
