Wired remotes for digital cameras?

I have a disability that limits movement in my hands and makes it impossible to hold a camera and push the button at the same time. I'm looking for a digital camera that I can hold without obscuring the picture and is light-wieght. I can tell which models will work and which won't, but I need help finding a wired remote so I can click the shutter button from behind the camera (so infared won't work).

I've found one from Canon and one from Nikon - but the compatable models available are not the best options for me. I also found the DigiSnap 2000 by Harbortronics, but it seems bulky and is expensive. Does anyone know of any other options? Thanks in advance.
