Wireless Remote for 20D?

Does anyone know offhand where to find a wireless remote for a Canon 20D? I'm not finding anything consistent. Amazon had something for $18, but B&H only had something listed for like $400. I thought Canon would have one remote, for $50 - $100. is this not the case?

canon has a LC-5 wireless remote for $680 on their website. :shock: That's the only one they show being compatible with the 20D.

There is a pretty cool timer remote for only $210. :er:

I don't know if it's compatible, but I have an RC-1 wireless remote and I've been happy with it. Although it's a little annoying to point the remote at the camera from in front of it so that the IR sensor picks it up.

thanks for the reply CK, apparently that remote works for the Rebels but not the 20D/30D. Oh well, I shall continue to set the timer and run.

Ya, that is a bit of a peeve isn't it? The D Rebel cameras get a cheap wireless remote...and the more expensive 10/20/30 D cameras don't.

I thought I read a reason for it...a long while back...but I can't remember what it was. Maybe something to do with the remote interfering with the camera operation... :scratch:

I'm sure that a lot of photographers would appreciate an affordable wireless remote.
