Working on my BW conversions . . .

I finally broke down and bought Fred Miranda's BW workflow plugin for B+W because I just really suck at the whole channel mixer thing. Trying to learn the tool and figure out how I'm doing so I figured I would post this one up for debate. I've got about 15min into this one and not really sure if it's a pic I want to spend much more time on or not. The one thing I have noticed is that when you do major adjustments to the blue channel to darken the sky It starts to get horrendously noisey. Any way around that? Or I am just plain modifying it too much???

Lower left shadow is very distracting, and possibly hogging a lot of the contrast. If it were me I think I'd crop it just above that shadow, leaving it mostly waterline and rocks.

Oh and rotate it so it's level.
