I have a Sigma 18-200mm lens for my Canon 30D, it was my first lens, and I like it alot.
I think it does very well for the price range, and I love the wide range.

I got mine right before the OS version of the same lens came out,
but I didnt want to wait to get the camera, so I just went for the non OS version.
Now, that the OS version is out, I was thinking about selling my original, to get the OS version.
Lets say it cost me about $230 or so to make the upgrade, is it worth it???

Thanks,
~John

I would say that is more of a personal choice. How are you now with your images and will the OS help you in the telephoto range? I find it more helpful in low light situation where the shutter speed drops below 1/30th. I upgraded to the IS version of the 70-200 because I lost a lot of shots in low light situations where the shutter speed just dropped too low for hand held. Especially wide open. Shooting more wildlife, it's just cumbersome to have to lug a tripod or monopod around all of the time. Difficult to catch things "in the moment".
