WTB Nikon D40

Lookin to get my first ever camera. My uncle is a pro photographer and this is what he recomended. Im am looking to body with kit lens included with all they other stuff i need, charger extra batteries case neck strap...let me know what you got. Im on a serious budget. This would be a christmas present from my parents... yea i know im buying my own christmas present Let me know what you have and how much you want

i have a used d40 that im looking to sell. comes with the 18-55mm kit lens along with everything that came in the original box including the box itself. i'm not sure how much they go for used though.

also i would recommend the 50mm f/1.8. you can pick it up for about $100 and the image quality is very very good. very sharp for such a cheap price. problem is on a d40 there is no auto focus, however it just takes some practice (as long as you are patient, and the subject doesnt move in the beginning)..
