Currently I'm shooting with a D90, tamron 17-50 2.8, nikon 28-200, promaster 200-400, and a tamron 28-105 2.8.

I'm planning on trading the 28-105 since it weighs about as much as an Oldsmobile deuce and a quarter, but I can't decide which lens I want. Based on what I already have, would you pick a 90mm tamron macro, a tokina 10-17, or a shorter prime? I love shooting wide angle and I think fish eye would be fun, but I can't help but wonder if the macro bug will bite me.

What are your thoughts? What else should I consider? Thanks in advance for your help.

Seems like an ultra-wide zoom will meet your immediate requirements. BTW there is no such thing as enough money or lenses :)

That was my original thought but I'm second guessing myself. And yes, I need more money to get more lenses! lol..

keep in mind, I'm not doing this for anything more than a hobby, so I don't need the latest and greatest.

I would go to the local store try both kinds and buy the one I like more. It is an expensive hobby :)
