I wonder why so many choose to withhold their country/home town?

Some of us have had people stalk us on the internet before (or see the potential) and choose to publicize neither our home towns nor our real names for security reasons. Some of us just feel more comfortable being anonymous. And some probably don't care either way and are just too lazy to plug in the info.

I agree, and I'd rather have the internet kind if I had to choose, but I can tell you from experience, the internet ones aren't very fun either.

I think some folks just like their privacy - nothing more than that.
