I liked the zig-zag path of these steps up the front of an old stone building at a Lancashire abbey. For more info go to http://photoreflect.blogspot.com

I cannot tell you often enough how much I am a fan of your compositions.
I was out in the neighbouring village this morning, too, trying to find some good lines and angles and light situations but - even though I was thinking of you wondering what YOUR approach to all the farm houses would have been that I saw - I don't think I nailed it as well as you always do.
This one is no exception!

Once again, a phenomenal photo from your camera.

I love how you compose your pictures, yet again. Amazing

Thanks folks. I really appreciate your feedback. You've probably noticed that I photograph mainly static subjects - buildings, landscapes, abstracts etc, and composition is everything to me. My obsessiveness with composition probably comes from my training in art history and architecture, and all the essays I had to write pulling apart Renaissance paintings!
