Olympus Digital, indoor, no flash, lit by window light
Thats one of my cats, Zoey. Heh, its so hard to get a picture of her cuz she is so timid she runs away.
Somethin seems wierd about the fur. Dunno why. Tell me...tell it to meeeee....
and anything else

the cat itself looks perfect. It might just be my mood right now, but i feel like the background is slightly distracting.

The problem with the fur is the same as every digital camera has - it can't make up it's mind whether it's a vertical or horizontal line and therefore you get jaggies. Cats have especially fine hair and whiskers and I'm yet to see any digital camera do a good job on avoiding purple fringing on the whiskers and jaggies in the nape fur. The worst camera for this is probably the Olympus C50 or C60 (I've owned both) and the results of cat pictures have been damn awful!

Still, technical stuff aside, I think you've done a reasonable job here. The message of the cat trying to go out the door is pretty apparant and the important bits are in focus. You could have benefitted from a more shallow DOF, but there's so rarely time with cats!
