I like the interesting color combination on this shot. It's surprising to see a little cluster of flowers growing out of the rocks.

Thank you LaFoto! I'm still keeping my eye out for green. All the likely places burn down before the rain though. That way we can have our mudslides afterwards. Stupid drought- amoung other things...

Yep, I don't see me leaving it alive. I love the way nature has peeled the Earth bare, shoved it all together, then sliced it open and poked holes in it. Thanks.

What's a little more surprising is that these hills are encusted with salt that has risen through the soil from the ancient lakebed beneath what was a mudslide since blasted by volcanic eruptions. Hard life.

All my horizons are crooked cause the planet wobbles as it rotates. :)
