A long Hike paid off today.

Well, I went out for a hike in the woods near our home today, and loe and behold, I came across this deer who ended up surprising me, more than I did her.

I was walking along a small narrow trail and didn't see her until she was no more than 20 feet or so away from me. She was very calm and collective which really surprised me, either that or she was paralyzed with fear

I very much doubt that from a tiny little fella like me, I generally don't scare much of anything on this planet.

The one thing I enjoy about shots like this, is that, they are in the wild and not in some zoo, wild life sanctuary or some other captive environment, seems more natural and peaceful.

Many thanks to all of you for having a look and the compliments. I thought it turned out fairly descent, although I had to pump up the ISO to 800 due to the dark cloudy conditions at the time.
